Couples Game Night ...
Wednesday Alyssa and I hosted a couples game night on our house. It consisted of spa and valet people. It seems these two departments mesh well together, since 4 spa girls have significant others in valet. Its like our own little posse lol. We made meatballs, crescent rolls, and an assorted cheese tray. The best was our sugar strawberry cookies and red velvet creamcheese cake balls covered in a chocolate shell. Mmm Mmm !

We had a total of 6 couples, including us, playing pictionary. It was probaly the funniest pictionary game ever. I can't even to begin to count how many times "What the hell is that?!" was said. It was a success cause there was no break ups or divorces. Maybe a few yelling matches, but it was all in good fun.

We even played a Battle of the Sexes game filled with the most random questions. The ladies asked girlie questions to the guys and the gents asked manly questions to the girls. In the end the best sex won, the females of course !

Happily Ever After ...
I grew up believing in fairy tales and "Happily Ever Afters". I know I'm not a princess and I know I didn't marry a prince, but it still seems all the same. I'm living my happily ever after with the one man that makes my life seem like a fairy tale. Fairy tales come in all shape and sizes, specialty made for each and everyone by their special someone. May you find your "Happily Ever After" even if you don't believe in it just yet.

27 Candles ...
Dear 27 candles; bring on the late 20s!
I had a really good birthday considering I was rushed to the ER five days earlier by ambulance. And being put on three different medications. (Thank goodness for our awesome health insurance) Justin still managed to make my birthday special.
I bought this style purse for my sister two christmases ago and always loved it with the giant coin purse in the middle. Justin surprised me with the brown version the morning of my birthday.

The girls at work decorated our host desk area and bought me a starbucks gift card, breakfast, a homemade disney music cd, and a dozen cupcakes from the cupcakery. They look too good to eat!

For dinner Justin and I went to my favorite restaurant, The Melting Pot. Its the best atmosphere for a nice romantic dinner. We always have such a fun time talking and fonduing our food.

Remembering 9/11 ...
The Palm Cemetary down the street from our house remembers September 11th each year by placing 2,996 American flag up in their front lawn, dedicated to each victim that lost their life.

Out in front is a wall with every name with flowers and miscellanious gifts left. My French teacher from High School was located on the left part of the memorial. "Madame Barbara Edwards"

There is a lovely statue of a weeping angel that I think is so beautiful.

"May God Bless America & May We Never Forget"

Carlsbad ...
We drove down to Carlsbad on Wednesday to meet our cousins Sean, Marsha and little Loryn. They have been vacationing down from Alaska and we couldn't pass up going to see them. They suggested Carlsband Inn Beach Resort, it was right on the water and had so many ameneties. Complimentary towel, chair, umbrella, bike, boogie board rentals. They always had fresh refreshments out in the lobby and had a gread pool area with a grill, yard, lounge chairs, and firepits. They even made little towel pets just like on our honeymoon.

Our first night Sean brought over there surf boards and we walked down to the beach. The boys went first and then I adventured out. Nothing was really coming in until a nice wave approached and I paddled as hard as I could of and rode the wave in. Until it decided to push be forward and crash right ontop of me. I went under the board popped up, slingshot back at me and then all I knew I was sitting right on the beach. I felt fine, just a little shooken up. I walked back to the beach and started peeling my wetsuite off until I saw a quarter size gash in the dent of my elbow and just bleeding everywhere. While back in the room Justin cleaned me up and bandaged me up. My wound contined to bleed, swoll, and bruise for a good two days.
The boys surfed the following morning while Marsha and I played with Loryn on the beach.

The rest of our time just consisted of eating, relaxing, hanging out, and taking Loryn to parks. It was a nice time relaxing with family.

Blackout ...
While we were in Carlsbad, we got stuck in the big black out that occured in Arizona, California, and Mexico. The boys went surfing that morning, we went back to the hotel, showered and then adventured out for a bit. When we started to head back to our hotel we noticed all of the stop lights weren't working. We then pulled into the hotels underground parking and there was not one light on, pitch black! We walked to the hotels entrance and a hotel employee was holding flash lights and a big lantern. She informed us that there was a massive power outage that was sproud throughout Southern California.
We than came to learn that we were part of the 5 million people without power! We were stuck! All shops and restaraunts were closed, nothing was opened. Lucky enough our cousins were staying with friends and they invited us over for a candlelit cookout. Their neighbors came over as well, and we had ourselves a little blackout party. Only downfall was that we missed the Packer game. Sean and I kept checking our phones for the score and play by play, while trying not to lose all of our battery life. Who knew a blackout would be so much fun, we defiantly made lemons into lemonaid.
Late that evening we headed back to our pitch black hotel and tried to find our way through the glowstick forrest we had of a hallway.
