My birthday was last Friday. I didn't want anything extravagant. I worked (no big deal) My friends at work decorated the host desk, got me cupcakes, an ice cream cake, a gift, and a funny card. They are all just such wondcerful girls. Jusin and I just went to Sierra Gold with the family and had birthday cake at my parents. It was nice and laid back.

Saturday we ordered the fight and slashed it for my birthday. The usual gang was over and my Shanna made yummy champaign jello shots for me. I knew a few of the munckins would be there so I bought glow sticks, and they were a big hit.

Velocity Micro Cruz Reader ...

I have been looking at the e-readers latley and have been wishing to get one, but I just couldn't see spending money on a deviced that i could read books on instead of just going to the book store and buying a book. I just mentioned it to Justin and next thing I know UPS delivers a package from Borders. Open up the box and there is a Velocity Micro Cruz Reader.

Its a colored touch screen that has the Google Android based system. Yes I can directly download ebooks, but I can also download games, email, pictures, music, applications, etc ... plus browse the web. Kinda excited to see all that I can do.

Jewell & Frei Wedding ...

Last night we attended Tiffany and Brandon's wedding. The ceremony started at six thirty pm. Ceremony and reception were at Black Mountain Country Club. It was really pretty with the sun going down on the mountains. The weather was perfect for a perfect couple. The whole evening was beautiful, Tiffany planned an amazing wedding. I did get a little teary eyed a few times, weddings do that to me. They actually booked the same photographers that we used for our wedding. It was so nice seeing Josh and Kenny again. They gave us some sneak peeks of a few pictures that they were taking throughout the night. I can't wait to see all of them. I just love weddings and everything they stand for.

Congradulations Mr. & Mrs. Frei

Are You Ready For Some Football ...

This year the family has switched from rooting for the Giants to the Raiders. Marsha's dad switched this season back to Oakland. It was fun though rooting for New York, especially when they won their Super Bowl two years ago. Many times throughout pre-season they mentioned Mike Waufle and it was so fun hearing them talk about someone we know. Now onto regular season, let's go silver and black !

Go green and gold too! Of course the packers are still my number one team. I could never not root for them. I will always be a cheese head. Plus Justin's grandfather (Wikipedia-Bill Austin) coached for the Packers, during their "dynasty" years of the mid 1960s. So both sides of the famiy are cheese heads in a way.

Bedtime Arrangments ...

So Justin and I have been living together for four years and our "bedtime" has always been a tug and pull. Justin loves going to sleep with the tv on, but on the other hand I love quiet and dark. Finally I think we may have finally come up with a plan. Mon. Tues. Wed. are for Justin and his tv, Thur. Fri. Sat. or for me and quietness, and Sun. is considered our wild card day and we flip a coin to see who gets the night. I know, I know this is very odd and probaly comical. What can I say this is just us.

Keystone Thrust ...

I left work today at eleven, at that time we only had one more female to check in for the rest of the day. Talk about slow. We had more employees than guests, so I peaced out.

Justin and I didn't get to go hiking on our day off together, so we went when we met up back at home. Today on our list was the Keystone Thrust. This is where the fault lines meet. The older gray limestone rock has been pushed up and over younger sandstone red rock. It was really need to see all the different colored and textured rock. The dogs had a fun time exploring along the fault lines.

I got some really good picture of the sun going down behind the mountains.

Decorating ...

I have started this new hobby of decorating cakes and cupcakes. I love just getting ideas from magazines and brainstorming with new ones. I think I want to try out a decorating class at Joanns or Michaels with a girlfriend. Who's up for the fun :)
