Mommy Spa Day ...

Every mom needs to take time to herself. Every mom needs a spa day. Christina and I had morning facials at the Red Rock on Tuesday. Justin splurged and upgraded us to the hydrafacial and it was heaven. I haven't worn makeup since and my skin is glowing!

We had lunch out by the spa pool and enjoyed the sun and chitt chatted. We headed inside to enjoy all the relaxing amenedies; steam room (there was no eucalyptus, big dissapoinment) sauna, cold plung, and jacuzz. Fianlly after five hours we tore ourselves back to our lockers and headed home. I was totally useless the rest of the day. I was in lala land and didn't want to come back.

Father's Day ...

Father's day was mellow for us. But Justin still got spoiled for his first father's day. Mary bought him a lucky penny keychain with her named stamped on it. It even was a 2012 year penny, the year she was born. I got him a new gun safe. It's about double the size he had earlier, but five times as heavy. It took three of them to list it up the stairs, with a dolly.

My parents and sister were out of town so we had another couple come over for dinner and the game. It was a nice mellow day.

Disneyland ...

The other day, we went to the Disney store looking for Finding Nemo stuffed animals to complete Mary's collection. We ended up buying three more, but they didn't have Bruce the shark. Out of nowhere Justin replied, "lets check Downtown Disney" Of course I jumped at the oppurtunity to make a quick roadtrip. We headed home and packed real quick. I called my cousin on the way to see if she was free and she was! We checked into the Candy Cane Inn as usual and headed to Downtown Disney with my cousin. They didn't have Bruce, But we did find a few other Nemo toys.

The following day, My cousin took us to Disneyland for the morning and afternoon. Mary got to meet the Princesses, Minni, Mickey, Pluto, and Mike Wazoski! We even road the Monster's Inc ride!

It was such a nice getaway and I loved watching Mary's reactions to everything.

RIP ...

No one likes a funeral, but Bill's was beautiful. He had military honors and of course taps didn't leave a dry in the house. It was almost comferting seeing Bill and Goody finally together again.

6 months ...

San Francisco ...

Justin and my dad took my mom and I on a belated Mother's Day trip to San Francisco. The weather was absolutly perfect the whole time we were there and Mary did so good with all the touristy things we did.

We landed early morning and headed straight to the wharf. We had lunch at a great old time diner at ghirardelli square and of course had a ice cream sunday at ghirardelli for dessert.

We then drove down to Chinatown to do a little shopping. Mary had a wet diaper right in the middle of our shopping adventure and there wasn't a bathroom that I really wanted to take her to to Justin held her while I changed her, standing on the sidewalkd.

The following day we planned on going to Sonoma for wine tasting. On the way we stopped at the Golden Gate Bridge. I originally wanted to stop at Kirby's Cove, but we found out it was a dirt road leading down.

 

Driving into wine country we discovered a giant blue chair.

 

 

While in wine country we stopped at Bartholomew Winery (I picked this one because I have traced my ancestory back 13 generations and my ancestory's name was Bartholomew) St. Jean Chateau (We were recommended this one) Hook and Ladder (Justin picked this one because of the name) and Korbel Champaign (Who doesn't love champaign!)

 

 

The next day we had reservations to tour Alcatraz. It was a mighty warm day, so the sea breeze felt so nice.

 

 

 

After Alcatraz we had lunch and headed to the aquarium. Mary just loved watching all the fishies swim. We even found Nemo and friends!

 

 

Our final full day, we went to the Golden Gate Park. It's actually bigger than Central Park in New York City. We parked and explored around. We started at the Japanese Tea Garden, Then the Flower Conservatory, and ended with the Dutch Windmills.

 

 

Mother's Day ...

This year marked my very first official Mother's Day. Justin surprised my mom and I with a pandora bracelet. My mom got a grandmother charm and Justin got me a mother charm with a little girl. I love the idea of the pandora bracelet. It's the modern twist on a charm bracelet. Each charm get a different meaning to whoever is wearing it. I can't wait for Mary to get a little bit bigger so she can pick out charms herself.

May the fourth be with you! I love their wedding date (May 4th) We were so lucky to be included in Luke and Tiffany's wedding celebration. I have never seen two people so in love and so perfect for each other. Congratulatoins Mr. and Mrs. Bigler, may you experience eternity of love and happiness.
