Life is so precious, you never know when it may be taken away. People may not be in contact then all of sudden, it happens. Your mind is flooded with so many thoughts and memories. You then feel helpless. Trying to make them feel better seems like a endless fight.
This isn't our first loss, and I have had to learn how to be strong and supported. It's always a hard time, but it makes a bond stronger. Its a shock back to reality, a moment of truth.
